The 1970 NAIA Men’s Division I Basketball Tournament was held in March at Municipal Auditorium in Kansas City, Missouri. The 33rd annual NAIA basketball tournament featured 32 teams playing in a single-elimination format. Kentucky State would win the first of three straight National Championship titles, becoming the second team to win three in a row, and the third team to win three titles. The 3rd place game would go into overtime for second time in tournament history.
